The Advocacy for the Poor is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organization's efforts to focus attention on issues that are actionable and attainable on a local basis and to provide a voice for the poor in our community. The position involves directing advocacy efforts for the organization's focus areas of poverty, housing, healthcare and hunger, in addition to fundraising and providing advocacy support for community service providers. The position requires at least an undergraduate degree and two years experience in social service, nonprofit or advocacy work. Candidates should have a proven ability to collaborate with a wide spectrum of stakeholders as well as critical thinking skills to analyze polices and relate them to the Advocacy's mission and goals.
