2007 Campaign Soars Past Goal for Second Consecutive Year! - 1/23/2008
For the second consecutive year, United Way of Forsyth County has far exceeded its annual campaign goal. Susan Ivey, chairman, president and CEO of Reynolds American, and 2007 United Way Campaign Chair, announced this evening that the campaign had raised a record-breaking $18,305,019 --- well over its goal of $18,150,00 --- and five percent more than the 2006 Campaign.

Helping Workers Keep More of Their Money - 1/9/2007
United Way partners are providing free tax preparation at 10 sites across the county to families with incomes of $40,000 or less and individuals with incomes of $20,000 or less. This service saves paying high fees for tax preparation services and eliminates the temptation to take short-term, high-interest, refund anticipation loans.
