Internal company, affiliated agency and personnel information is considered to be privileged and confidential; therefore, employees will adhere to the following guidelines:
- Caution and discretion are required in order to safeguard the confidential nature concerning our transactions with present and prospective agencies and contributors, other institutions and suppliers. Such information should only be shared with those who have a legitimate business need to know.
- Confidential information obtained as a result of comments made within United Way shall not be used for the purpose of private interests.
- United Way respects the right of employees to privacy in matters that have no relation to their employment. Matters of a personal nature should be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
