Affordable housing continues to be a topic of discussion in our organization, community, and our country. As we continue to navigate the challenges associated with affordable housing in Winston-Salem, we wanted to make our community aware of the Forsyth County Housing Availability Map. This map was first introduced in September however it has been updated and is a fully functioning tool. Since then, we have continuously worked to update the features to this map, including additional landlords and properties, expanding the audience who may find this tool useful and beneficial. This map not only reaches those who are experiencing homelessness, it also reaches those who are in a housing crisis or in need of immediate options. This map is updated regularly, with options to narrow availability by zip code, space needed, and if assistance can be provided. We hope to continue to expand the reach of this tool to public spaces in the coming months.
If you hear of someone who is in need of immediate housing options within your church, community groups, or friends and family, we encourage you to direct them to this map.
