United Way of Forsyth County Announces Virtual Moonlight Madness 5k Race

Winston-Salem, North Carolina – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

United Way of Forsyth County has announced that this year’s Moonlight Madness 5k Race will virtual. The Moonlight Madness 5K is one of the largest races in Winston-Salem and the official kickoff of the 2020-2021 Community Campaign. In observance of CDC and State guidelines, MM5K will be virtual and this year individuals can participate WHERE THEY LIVE. The race has been expanded to three days and it includes walking, biking, and running in your communities with your family and friends. Participants can still form a group and support a great cause.

Community Engagement Director Tahja Gaymon notes, “We are very excited to be able to extend Moonlight Madness over an entire weekend and open it up to individuals who can walk or ride in addition to running. The safety of everyone is most important but we feel this is a great opportunity for more people to join the event who may not have been able to previously and at their own pace”.
